Life of the Mahatma in Colour

To mark the 70th anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, old black and white photographs of the great leader has been transformed into colour.

Mahatma Gandhi was one of the most influential figures of the 20th century and whose methods were followed by subsequent historical figures such as Martin Luther King.

Iconic images of the Mahatma visiting Britain and his meeting with the last Viceroy of India Lord Louis Mountbatten, in his study in Rashtrapathi Bhawan in the days just before independence in 1947 can now be seen in full-blown colour.
